Lizzie rides for mental health.

It’s a new year and a new challenge for Lizzie, as this year she plans on riding five 100 mile sportive to raise money for Mind. Mental health is something that affects us all, and this year Open Doors and our sister company College and County have made it our charity of the year.

Lizzie's first ride will start in the heart of Birmingham along with 17,000 other riders with the route taking her through Coventry where riders will cycle on the cobbled roads surrounding the historic Coventry Cathedral and finishing back at The Bull Ring.

The second instalment will see Lizzie take on the renowned Chiltern 100. This event tests even the fittest of cyclists. With the undulating hills of the Chilterns and the scenic country lanes it will be sure to put Lizzies legs to the test.

Next up…..The Prudential Ride London. This is the crème de le crème of cycling sportive. 80,000 entries with only 20,000 spaces Lizzie finally managed to secure a spot. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

Lizzie is awaiting dates for the final two events, but she can’t wait to get these booked in!
